Kilometres against Malnutrition
The effort of the employees from Cartonajes La Plana who participated in the last edition of the initiative Challenge Interempresas, which was promoted by Acción contra el Hambre on October 2nd in Valencia, will allow 2151 days of nutritional treatment to hundreds of children from the third world.
In Cartonajes la Plana we feel proud of the twelve representatives of the company that participated in this test, achieving 215,1km. They were rewarded with 10€ for each kilometre, the company donated a total of 2151€ to this NGO.
To eradicate poverty and hunger are not only the two goals from the Sustainable Development Goals that the UN marked, but they are also the two pillars presented in the strategy of RSC of many organizations –Cartonajes la Plana is among them – and the mission of the NGO and other entities of the third sector.
Thanks to this kind of initiatives, funds are obtained to therapeutic treatments against malnutrition, recovering health and the future of thousands of children in developing countries.
